Jamie Pollard to retire after West Virginia game

Athletics director Jamie Pollard will depart Iowa State earlier than planned after the October 3 West Virginia home game. His office-based work ends Saturday, but he will remain involved remotely, at meetings and at football games until a successor is hired; senior associate AD Calli Sanders is also leaving. The university has begun a search without naming a successor, creating a significant leadership transition that could affect football resources, coaching stability and department direction.
