Ebola outbreak in DRC becomes deadliest in history
The Ebola outbreak in DR Congo, caused by the Bundibugyo strain with no approved vaccine, has become the deadliest on record. Cases now exceed 5,000, CFR rising to 47.4%, and cross-border risk to South Sudan. Conflict and aid cuts are hampering response. A PHEIC has been declared.
