Coastal Flooding and Hazardous Surf Affect Shoreline Hikes

The coastal-flooding advisory remains in effect through Monday, November 9; the Beach Hazards Statement has expired. Morning high tides may flood shoreline areas, and San Francisco surf hazards include sneaker waves, rip currents, and 12–16-foot breaking waves. A warming, mostly dry stretch begins Thursday, but a rain-related Highway 1 closure near Pacifica has no stated reopening time.
