Week 8 upsets fuel college football playoff chaos

UCF’s double-overtime upset of No. 2 BYU headlined a turbulent Week 8 alongside Indiana’s overtime win over Michigan, Illinois over Oregon and Cincinnati’s upset of Texas Tech. South Carolina also upset No. 11 Tennessee 27-24, while the AP poll dropped BYU to No. 8 and raised Ohio State to No. 2; playoff paths remain unsettled. Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby is out for the rest of the season, a significant blow to the Longhorns.
