Lawmakers pursue survivor speech and restitution protections

Proposals from Rep. Comer, the Survivor’s Voice Protection Act, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s Survivors’ Rights Restitution Act seek to void certain NDAs, protect survivor testimony, and create a trauma-informed compensation process. Pressley’s bill reportedly has 42 House cosponsors, but passage, funding, eligibility, and implementation remain unresolved.
