Northeast Ohio Storms Cause Widespread Power Outages

Severe storms brought winds up to 80 mph, hail, flooding and a tornado warning, leaving nearly 53,000 regional accounts without power. More than 25,000 outages were reported in Cuyahoga County, including over 13,000 Cleveland Public Power customers; additional rain and saturated ground could prolong localized flooding, while impacts and restoration in Strongsville and Berea remain key follow-up questions.
