No. 1 Miami prepares for top-five Notre Dame showdown

Miami is 8-0 and No. 1 in both major polls, with Mensah posting 25 touchdown passes against one interception, ahead of its Nov. 7 visit to No. 4 Notre Dame. The matchup pits Miami’s explosive offense against a Notre Dame defense ranked first in explosive plays allowed; Miami’s pass defense and offensive line are notable concerns. The first CFP rankings are due Nov. 3.
