Heat, storms and flood risk threaten Cincinnati travel

The metro faces extreme heat followed by widespread thunderstorms, heavy rain, possible damaging winds and flooding through Thursday. Forecasts call for locally one to two inches of rain, especially south of downtown, with cooler, drier weather expected by Sunday; Hamilton County EMA's mitigation survey remains open through Sept. 21.
