Post-election results and contested Clarksville budget and sales-tax issues

Clarksville’s Nov. 3 mayoral, City Council, and sales-tax-extension votes have occurred, but official results still need confirmation. City Council voted 11-2 against withdrawing from the county sales-tax agreement, keeping the roughly $3.5 million annual CMCSS allocation in place for now; the proposed FY26-27 budget remains contested, and Performing Arts Center funding was delayed until February 2027.
