Stellarators gain design, regulatory, utility, and supply-chain momentum
Thea Energy published a peer-reviewed 400-MWe Helios preconceptual design, Type One Energy secured Tennessee's first fusion-specific machine license for a TVA/ORNL-linked project, and Realta partnered with Madison Gas and Electric on a proposed 200-MWe Wisconsin plant. Proxima's planned €140 million Lower Saxony HTS-tape facility, including €21 million in public support, adds supply-chain momentum, but financing, permitting, execution, and demand remain open questions.
