Heavy rain and flash-flood threat across Shiprock region
A deep monsoon plume is bringing slow-moving thunderstorms, repeated rainfall, lightning, and near-record moisture to Shiprock, Farmington, and surrounding northwest New Mexico. Rapid flooding of washes, creeks, roads, and low-lying areas remains possible, with regional travel hazards reported in Farmington, Gallup, and the Navajo Nation.
