Lake County Animal-Abuse Case – Court May Release Long-Held Evidence Animals

A Sept. 9 court order may allow some animals tied to a Lake County felony animal-abuse case to leave the county shelter after being held for years as evidence. A settlement conference is expected near the end of September; one animal reportedly died and care costs have approached $100,000.
