Nebraska opens 2026 with 49-21 win over Ohio

Nebraska overcame a competitive opening stretch to beat Ohio 49-21 on Sept. 5. Anthony Colandrea threw four touchdown passes without a turnover, Jamal Rule ran for 122 yards and three touchdowns and earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week, while tackling, communication, containment and penalty problems remain ahead of Bowling Green.
