Lane Johnson Retirement and Cam Jurgens Trade Leave Eagles OL Shorthanded
Lane Johnson retired immediately after 14 seasons, and Philadelphia reportedly dealt Cam Jurgens to Baltimore for future draft capital soon afterward. The back-to-back moves create major center/guard and right-tackle uncertainty; Markel Bell, Fred Johnson and Willie Lampkin are among the candidates for expanded roles. The Jurgens move reportedly includes a $15.3 million 2027 dead-cap charge but projected savings in 2028-30.
