737 MAX 7 certification – milestone but overshadowed by cracks and valuation concerns

FAA certified MAX 7 on July 31, unlocking ~30 deliveries and supporting MAX 10 path. However, FAA inspection order for bear strap cracks on 1,429 MAX jets, Southwest delays, and July delivery miss temper optimism. Stock still 50% below 2019 peak; valuation priced for perfection. Simply Wall St piece shows 43% DCF discount but P/E near fair. New GF Value analysis shows 2.2% overvaluation at $215 vs $210.49 fair value, a slight improvement but still reinforcing valuation risk. A program-level update confirms 737 line finally moving past FAA cap, 777X certification progress, 787 stability, and 40 uncertified MAX 7/10 airframes in inventory.
