777X certification testing advances, but 2026 certification is not expected

Reported 777-9 testing includes WH003 heading to Bolivia for high-altitude propulsion testing and WH001 awaiting crosswind conditions in Iceland; the program is said to be about 50% through testing. Singapore Airlines plans new cabins for 31 777-9s, with deliveries expected no earlier than late 2027, reinforcing customer exposure to the schedule. ETOPS, conformity work and GE9X seal approval remain ahead, keeping the 2027 first-delivery target at risk.
