Thornton Police Officer Shot; Suspect at Large

A Thornton police officer was seriously but non-fatally wounded in a Sunday-night shooting, reportedly near Ulster Street and East 128th Avenue. Police identified 37-year-old Luis Arebalo as an armed and dangerous suspect; a temporary shelter-in-place order was lifted, but his whereabouts and the full circumstances remain unresolved.
