Thornton Fatal Shooting and Police Vehicle Struck by RTD Train

A shooting early Friday morning on Colorado Boulevard in Thornton left one dead and one injured. During the police response, an unoccupied Thornton PD patrol vehicle was struck by an RTD N Line train. Colorado Boulevard closed from 100th to Thornton Parkway. Suspect at large. Investigation ongoing.
