Sparks acquire Ariel Atkins in trade for Rickea Jackson

The LA Sparks traded injured forward Rickea Jackson to the Washington Mystics for two-way champion guard Ariel Atkins. The move added a proven defender and scorer ahead of the trade deadline. Atkins made her Sparks debut on Aug. 2, scoring 16 points against Portland, and played in the Aug. 3 win. Her arrival complements the Plum trade rebuild.
