Bay Area closure wave, bankruptcies, and brewery contraction

Red's Place, Chinatown's oldest bar, is closing after serving the neighborhood since 1963; owners cite unaffordable insurance and required plumbing and structural upgrades. Imperial Garden Seafood plans to close December 31, Nabolom is closing after 50 years with no buyer confirmed, and Triple Rock plans to close in December; Admiral Maltings and The Rake have closed. Zio Fraedo's Vallejo location is scheduled to close October 25, while True Food Kitchen's Palo Alto location remains open during bankruptcy.
