MassHealth, SNAP, and enrollment changes raise access questions

MassHealth work requirements are expected to affect about 310,000 adults ages 19–64 at each member’s first 2027 renewal; SNAP administrative changes add an estimated $53 million in state costs this fiscal year, and a recent update reports more than 7,000 residents losing Medicaid coverage. Health Connector open enrollment runs through January 23, with a December 23 deadline for January 1 coverage and free Navigator help at 50 locations in 29 languages.
