Satellites reveal plant fluorescence and changing planetary weather
ESA’s upcoming FLEX and Sentinel-3C mission pairing will map faint fluorescence from photosynthesis alongside broad measurements of oceans, land, ice, and atmosphere, creating a strong launch explainer. Hubble’s more distinct Saturn southern-polar decagon and new meteorite evidence for a 150–600 µT early-solar-system magnetic field add visually compelling but mechanistically unresolved space stories.
