SMU prepares for Oct. 31 visit to Syracuse

SMU’s next game is an Oct. 31 ACC matchup at Syracuse. Syracuse’s preview says quarterback Steve Angeli returns after leading its recent overtime win and notes the Orange have not settled on a kicker, with Tripp Woody healthy again. SMU’s defensive third-down performance could be an edge, while Syracuse’s possession-oriented play is a challenge.
