SMU beats Boston College 25-16 as defense breaks through

SMU improved to 4-1 and 2-1 in ACC play with a rain-affected 25-16 win over Boston College. The defense produced five sacks and three forced fumbles, led by Marques White's three sacks and Jarvis Lee's nine tackles and forced fumble; both earned ACC weekly honors. Kevin Jennings accounted for three touchdowns, but the offense managed only 218 yards and two botched PATs kept execution concerns alive.
