AI Venture Capital Concentration Reaches Record Scale

Global venture funding reached approximately $159 billion in Q3 2026, including about $102 billion for AI; separate Crunchbase data reports $679 billion year to date, 27 billion-dollar rounds and AI at roughly 64% of funding. Capital is concentrated in frontier models, chips, data centers, robotics and physical infrastructure, creating strong momentum but increasing valuation, exit and overinvestment risk.
