Citizenship checks and election-security roles expand under legal scrutiny
The Supreme Court permits individualized citizenship checks through the modified SAVE system while Missouri litigation continues, but has not authorized sweeping late-cycle voter-roll changes. Nevada's refusal to use federal SAVE data, proposed passport-record sharing, federal noncitizen-voting prosecutions, military election-defense preparations, and uncertainty over CISA coordination keep accuracy, privacy, federal authority, and voter confidence under scrutiny.
