Justin Martinez Emerges as 2027 Bullpen Candidate

Justin Martinez is expected to close for Águilas Cibaeñas in winter ball after returning from Tommy John surgery with a 2.03 ERA and prior save success. Derek Law’s election of free agency and the likely loss or replacement of several heavily used relievers increase the need for bullpen depth, though walks and workload restrictions remain concerns for Martinez.
