Texas rematch becomes Ohio State’s first major benchmark

Ohio State hosts Texas on Sept. 12 in a nationally significant rematch and the first serious test of the preseason No. 1 Buckeyes. The game will evaluate Julian Sayin against an elite opponent, the rebuilt defense, offensive-line cohesion and whether the run game can translate beyond the Ball State opener.
