Microsoft Launches Premium Surface Laptop Ultra With Extreme Local-AI Claims

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Ultra is available for pre-order ahead of October 16, reportedly starting at $2,599 and reaching nearly $5,900 in its top configuration. Early RTX Spark testing suggests strong local-AI and large-memory performance, but weak gaming and unresolved battery, thermals, software compatibility, and price-to-performance keep it from being a general buying recommendation.
