Real Madrid Beat Villarreal as Vinícius Sees Red

Madrid won 1-0 on October 11 through Yan Diomande's first goal, assisted by Fede Valverde, with Courtois making key saves. Vinícius came off the bench, had a goal overturned and was sent off in the 73rd minute for pulling an opponent's hair; a projected two-to-three-match suspension remains pending. Reports that Madrid will appeal any sanction have emerged, but no final ruling or official appeal has been confirmed.
