State Unemployment System Outages and Transitions
New York’s unemployment-services outage starts November 2 at 5 p.m. and is expected to last 9–12 days, temporarily limiting new claims, weekly certifications, and account access. Claimants should file or certify before the cutoff if possible, keep records of required work-search activities, and follow state instructions for filing afterward; payments may be delayed, not canceled. Michigan’s MiUI transition includes a November 2–9 shutdown and November 9 launch.
