Georgia wastewater failures and fish kills
Two recent fish kills have renewed concern about Georgia water-quality monitoring: one followed a sewage spill near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, while another at Radium Springs was attributed to natural factors. Investigation, remediation and accountability remain incomplete amid an estimated $19.7 billion wastewater infrastructure need.
