North Georgia catastrophic flooding

Undated reports describe record Toccoa/Ocoee River levels of about 18–18.05 feet after 8–10 inches of rain, submerged buildings and dozens of rescues around McCaysville. The water-treatment plant was disabled and a boil-water advisory issued; one account reports a propane-tank fire and explosive sounds during recovery. One report said the river was receding, but current conditions and emergency guidance cannot be verified.
