911 calls detail shooting of two Lenoir County deputies

Newly obtained 911 recordings and dispatch traffic add a timeline to the Oct. 2 shooting, with deputies reportedly shot at 11:20 and 11:41; both have been released to recover at home. The FBI confirmed Cecil Langston’s death, but authorities have not disclosed how he died. The Sheriff’s Office also warned that a caller is impersonating an injured deputy to solicit donations.
