Spider-Noir Canceled, but Sony and Prime Weigh New Scripts

Prime Video canceled Nicolas Cage's Spider-Noir after one season despite approximately 2.6 billion reported viewing minutes, 11 Emmy nominations, five Creative Arts Emmy wins, and a subsequent MacGuffin Award. Sony and Prime Video are reportedly weighing four scripts, including a possible Clone Saga-based successor involving Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker with Kelvin Yu attached. Criticism frames Cage's expressionist, classic-Hollywood noir ambitions against superhero genre exhaustion and the franchise's creative pivot.
