Panthers drop 4-3 overtime decision in San Jose

Florida fell 4-3 in overtime to the Sharks on Oct. 1 after Will Smith scored twice, Macklin Celebrini recorded three assists and Luca Cagnoni scored the winner. The loss exposed concerns with defensive coverage, late-game execution, the penalty kill and Akira Schmid's debut, while Barkov's injury became the major development.
