Thayron Briceño Promoted to Triple-A Toledo

The Tigers' No. 4 prospect, catcher Thayron Briceño, has been promoted to Triple-A Toledo after a hot stretch at Double-A. He hit .297 with 8 HR in 17 games following wrist surgery. He won the Arizona Fall League Triple Crown in 2025. This puts him one step from the majors, and with the Tigers in a playoff push, he could be a September call-up candidate. Additionally, prospect Bryce Rainer continues to impress with massive power (471-ft homer, 109 mph exit velos) as he recovers from shoulder surgery.
