North Texas prepares for Rice with AAC race at stake

UNT enters the Nov. 7 road matchup at 6-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play. Rice’s option attack, led by the threat illustrated by Gael Ochoa’s 259-yard, four-touchdown debut, will test an offense centered on Tayven Jackson and Jahiem White; Jackson’s profile reports 2,577 yards, 22 touchdowns and a 72.3% completion rate. A Nov. 4 depth-chart feed notes several first-team moves but supplies no injury explanations or other context.
