WVU adds Purdue home game to 2027 schedule

WVU and Purdue have confirmed a 2027 game in Morgantown, with the date and other schedule changes still pending. Athletic director Wren Baker cited reaching a 10-Power-Four-opponent threshold for a 24-team playoff; WVU still needs to remove one existing nonconference game, and the opponent is unknown. The latest report discussed the effort to secure a Power Four opponent but did not add material detail to the confirmed Purdue news.
