A severe storm caused more than 13,000 outages at its peak, 55 storm-related 911 calls, impassable roads, and a major dispatch surge. Power restoration has substantially progressed, but localized outages, debris, cleanup, contractor-scam risks, and water-system work beginning the week of October 5—including possible flushing, interruptions, and chlorine-related taste or odor changes—remain relevant.
