Shakira Austin Earns All-WNBA and All-Defensive Honors

Austin made the 2026 All-WNBA Second Team and First Team All-Defensive after averaging 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 blocks; she is Washington’s first All-WNBA player since Tina Charles in 2021. Coverage notes a career-high 30-point game and franchise single-season records, but double-double and rebound totals conflict (397 versus 408); verify before citing. Foul trouble and availability remain concerns.
