Amazon Begins Settlement Payouts

Amazon has started distributing payments as part of a $2.5 billion settlement related to its Prime subscription practices. The settlement addresses claims that Amazon enrolled customers into Prime without sufficient consent and made it difficult to cancel. Eligible consumers are now receiving refunds, following an agreement reached with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This payout aims to address grievances concerning the transparency and management of Amazon Prime subscriptions.
