Supreme Court expands its role in 2026 election and federalism fights

The Court has kept Missouri’s 2022 congressional map in force for November and allowed individualized use of the SAVE database while rejecting automatic voter removals. It will also hear a challenge to Trump administration detention practices and a major climate-liability case involving Boulder and oil companies, adding due process, executive power, and state-authority disputes to an already consequential term.
