Semaglutide for Severe Pediatric Obesity
Topline randomized data reported that 40.4% of severely obese children receiving semaglutide were below the obesity classification at 68 weeks versus none on placebo. The signal is potentially important, but full BMI outcomes, adverse events, discontinuation, growth and puberty effects, and long-term treatment needs are still pending.
