Reports describe a fast-moving Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak in Congo, with more than 9,400 cases and 4,500 deaths and spread to an eighth province; the scale should continue to be verified. Kenya separately reported an eighth linked case and no community transmission in its update. Regional spread and containment remain urgent follow-up concerns.
