40-Man Roster Crunch Could Delay Twins' First Signing

Minnesota may need roster cuts before making its first MLB signing. Six 60-day injured-list players could return, and departures plus Josh Bell's option may not create enough room for new acquisitions or Rule 5 protections. Ryan Jeffers is reportedly the only qualifying-offer candidate; the $23.15 million offer could add draft compensation but complicate his market and the club's payroll flexibility.
