Roger Fortson Shooting Case Heads Toward Trial

A judge denied former Okaloosa County deputy Eddie Duran's motion to dismiss and rejected his self-defense claim in the case over the shooting death of Air Force Senior Airman Roger Fortson. Trial is tentatively set for Sept. 28, with another hearing Sept. 22 and an appeal planned; the legal process remains unresolved.
