Aaron Bates will not return as Dodgers co-hitting coach

Bates is leaving after the Dodgers and the 12-year organizational veteran failed to agree on terms despite a reported multiyear offer. He shared the role with Robert Van Scoyoc from 2023; Van Scoyoc’s return is unconfirmed, and no successor or revised coaching structure has been identified. Recent coverage repeats the departure and floats speculative replacement ideas.
