Third Base Remains a Key 2027 Roster-Building Question

Bloom has described third base as a long-term opening, with internal candidates including Gorman, Blaze Jordan, Saggese, and Jesús Báez. A report mentioned Yankees third baseman Ryan McMahon as a possible target, but no interest or negotiation is confirmed; his weak 2026 line makes the proposed fit uncertain. The club’s approach remains unresolved, and other outside options are speculation.
