Thursday night Arkansas State matchup is next test

South Alabama travels to Arkansas State on Thursday, Oct. 8, for a 6:30 p.m. CT Sun Belt game televised on ESPN2. Arkansas State is 2-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play after a 23-20 loss to Louisiana, and has won the past two meetings by late field goals. The matchup tests Hollins and the Jaguars' explosive offense against a road opponent, while South Alabama's run defense and tackling face a significant challenge in Jonesboro.
